Suppliers of Warré hives and/or kits
BUYER BEWARE!
Several of the following manufacturers/sellers are offering
Warré hives that are modified from Warré's original design. We advise checking
before you buy that you want the modifications which are being offered. For example,
Warré's hive had no windows in each box. For details of an authentic Warré hive, see
pages 41-47 in his book or the plans.
"Even the People's Hive [Warré Hive, Tr.] has already been a
victim of the inventors. They say that they are improving it. But the improvements I have
heard of are useless, some are harmful, and a few absurd." (p. 26, 'Beekeeping
for All').
